Chaplain to the US Marine Corps

Ken Counts, Chaplain to the US Marine CorpsOn Thursday I met with Ken Counts, Chaplain to the US Marine Corpshere in Bahrain, to listen to him share something of his life and ministry in the Marines and to share with him something of our life and ministry in the Cathedral. Another lunch just up the road at our local, Vrindavan. The previous Friday he joined us with a Colonel and two Lieutenant-Colonels at our service. When I asked Colonel Jackson if he was in the US Navy, his response was “Do I look like it? I’ll have to do some more training!”

I moved on to the British Embassy for the farewell of the Receptionist – Patricia Mary, whom we have always had a bond with since she discovered that Tricia had the same Christian names. I avoided having a second lunch, but I appreciate these opportunities to meet with staff members as Chaplain to the Embassy.
