Welcome to the New Year!
We welcome new families, and look forward to getting to know you. Friday Club helps us all to share the good news of Jesus’ birth, death and resurrection, and what that means for each one of us, regardless of age, on our journey of faith.
January brings Epiphany, the visit of the wise men, and a return to the Old Testament, with a look at Jeremiah the prophet, God’s messenger, whose life was a living visual aid of what God had to say to the people of Israel.
February brings us pancakes, and the beginning of Lent, when we paint Lent pots and count our blessings as we fill them.
In March, we celebrate Mothers and the Diamond Jubilee of St Christopher’s Cathedral, with a visit from Bishop Michael Lewis and a special service.
For seven weeks leading up to Good Friday (Friday 29 March), and beyond to the Family Service on 5 April, we will be using a series called ‘Colours of Easter’, in which we follow the events in the last week of Jesus’ life leading up to his death, and his rising again, with music, art and activities exploring the colours blue, purple, red, black, yellow and green.
