Friday 25th January Meet at Bahrain City Centre Cinemas at 4.15pm The Life of Pi A young man who survives a disaster at sea is hurtled into an adventurous journey of discovery, forming an unexpected connection with another survivor … a fearsome Bengal tiger.
Food in the Food Court afterwards
Friday 22nd February at 5.30pm in The Deanery on the Cathedral compound. Puppets – working with the puppets, kindly donated to the Cathedral to present a story at the Family Service on Friday March 1st. Pizza afterwards.
Friday 22nd March A walk in the desert followed by a barbecue (details to be confirmed)
Sunday 14th April 7.30pm Living Room Dialogue with Reem Al Mealla, who attended the UN Climate Change conference at Doha as a Bahrain representative of the Arab Youth Climate Movement. There might be an opportunity to arrange a meeting with this group, if you are interested.
Friday 26th April 5.30pm A return visit to the Climbing wall at the US Navy Base – a popular event from last year with a visit to their canteen afterwards.
Friday 31st May 6.00pm Ice skating ….. As the weather heats up in Bahrain, come and have a cooling Ice Skate at Funland on the Corniche. We can eat the burgers and chips there or elsewhere.
The Living Room Dialogue Programme has a variety of speakers and TGIF’ers are always warmly welcome. Reem Al Mealla, as a young person, is specifically mentioned on this programme, but other speakers may catch your interest. Check out the programme on this site.
