Confirmation

Confirmation Group

Confirmation marks the point in the Christian journey at which you affirm for yourself the faith into which you have been baptized and your intention to live a life of committed discipleship. This affirmation is confirmed through prayer and the laying on of hands by the confirming bishop. The Church also asks God to give you power through the Holy Spirit to enable you to live in the way of Jesus.

If you would like to be confirmed, then please speak to the Dean or Assistant Chaplain.Baptismal Cup

As part of your preparation we will expect you to want to be committed to the regular worship of the church.

In addition we will run a Confirmation Preparation Group, which will over a period of several weeks explore some of the fundamentals of Christian belief and how that impacts on the living out of our lives.

Confirmation marks an important stage of our Christian commitment, but recognizes that Christian discipleship is a lifelong journey of learning, exploring and serving.
