Prayer

Both the Cathedral and Awali are open for private prayer in daylight hours. You are welcome to drop in.

Each morning, Monday to Thursday at 8.00am, Morning Prayer is said in the Cathedral. During this time we intercede for the wider world and church, the local community, our cathedral family and the needs of individuals we know. Anyone is welcome to join this regular half hour of prayer.

Prayer is an important part of the Monday morning homegroup and other groups that meet regularly.

If you have a particular request for prayer, please speak to the Dean or assistant Chaplain or telephone the Cathedral Office.

If you are needing help getting started or feel you are needing fresh ways of prayer, don’t hesitate to ask.

The Retreat House Katafiyio in Cyprus is a wonderful place of quiet and beauty, if you can get away for a few days:  www.cypgulf.org/retreats

There is an ecumenical prayer group Pray for Bahrain that meets each month on the last Wednesday of the month in one of the rooms of the National Evangelical Church, adjacent to the American Mission Hospital.

In your eyes, Lord,
this day is filled with opportunities
for me to love and serve others
and to spend time with you in prayer…

Open my eyes and heart
to what you see, Lord,
that my day be filled with your peace…
